Innofil3D polymer chemists have developed PRO1 as a high-speed engineering thermoplastic that prints as easy as PLA at speeds previously considered unusable and yet it retains far better mechanical properties that exceed printed ABS objects, something that the most demanding users have always had to make a compromise on prior to PRO1.

    Please let me know the chemical resistance for the material PRO1.
    We are running PRO1 and has divided the components in different parts and would like to understand if we can use epoxy to glue and reinforce the parts? Does the material withstand acetone? Any recommendation of what kind of filler should we use to smooth the surface?
    Please advise us.

    Hi Micael,

    We are in contact with a customer who is using primer etc on his PRO1 prints
    “I have no experience with epoxy resin on a printed part. Well, I know that epoxy resin is used on printed parts. It’s called xtc3d or something. I would in any case use an automotive plastic adhesive primer. But I would definitely test the adhesion.
    I can also recommend a 2-component automotive primer / filler, which I myself tested with success. Epoxy resin becomes hard against primer / filler so it is also more likely to burst.”
